Social Media is great way to market your business, but it must be used as one of your different channels to market your business and it needs to be used properly.
But how should I use social media to get the best outcome?
Social media marketing can be used in two ways. As organic marketing and as paid marketing.
To use social media as organic marketing, you need to use this to engage with you customers in a more personalized/relaxed way. People enjoy social media to learn and explore what is on their minds. I know when I am on my phone, I end up reading post that have something I might want or need. Or even something I had no idea excited and now I want!
By educating your audience on why they need your service and tips on making their lives better, you begin to become an expert in the field. The more you post about tips, advise, examples or anything to show them that you are an expert in the field, the more they will trust you and think of you when they need that service.
We don’t just stop there, we need to ENAGE with our audience. Using this tool to not only market yourself but to learn about your audience. I was always told that when we reach out to our audience we need to remember and understand that they do not know as much as we do, So marketing and assuming they know things is a BIG MISTAKE! Learn from your social media what it is they are looking for. What it is they have questions or concerns about. The more you learn about their needs, the better you can reach and personalize the content.
Which leads me to the Paid social media. Most of us, including myself, think that by boosting and paying for social media advertising is going to get us more leads. Yes, this is true but you won’t see the results you want without knowing who you audience is and what they want. You learn all of this through your Organic Social Media Marketing.
