We have all heard about how important review are to our credibility of our services. It tells a potential client exactly how a customer that you serviced felt about the quality of work you did. It also helps Google to rank you higher on the search engine than other business that have less reviews.
The problem we face is that most people don’t like to give reviews for varies reasons. They might tell you that, they don’t have time or normally it is because it’s an “inconvenience” to them. They don’t understand how curial and important it is for us small businesses.
So, how do we get people to give us reviews?
People usually like to do things for something in return. This doesn’t mean you have to pay them but instead incentive them to want to do it because they will get a “reward”. This doesn’t have to cost you lots of money either but can be in the form of:
- Gift
- Discount on purchase (for future purchase)
- Free upgrade
Any of these inexpensive way will get you a higher rate of reviews. Remember, reviews are a form of marketing so if you plan on spending money on marketing, it is the same as spending money on these incentives.
You can even think outside the box and make a raffle of something small like a gift card or something bigger like a dinner for 2. As long as you get a good return of investment from these prizes and get lots of reviews, it will pay in the long run.
